Since opening its doors in 2014, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has fast become an iconic landmark in the city of Seoul. Designed by the incredible Zaha Hadid to be a cultural hub of the Dongdaemun district, the DDP is one of Seoul’s most valued public spaces with people of all ages enjoying the Dongdaemun Design Plaza’s distinct architecture. The district of Dongdaemun is also famed for its 24 hour shopping and trendy cafe offerings. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza was nominated one of the ‘Top 52 places to visit in 2015’ and went on to become one of the most tagged locations on Instagram.

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza Museum is open 10am-7pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.
On Wednesday’s & Friday’s, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza Museum is open 10am to 9pm.
The exhibitions are closed on Mondays
The Design Market is open 24 hours
How to get to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza
The Dongdaemun Design Plaza is conveniently connected to lines 2, 4 and 5 of Seoul’s Subway and is the best way to visit the museum. Dongdaemun History and Culture Park is the name of the station where you will need to get off.
Exit 1 of the station is closest to he B2 level entrance to Oullim Square, the Design Market, the Design Lab, and the Museum.
Exit 2 is closet to the first floor entrance of the Design Lab and the Dongdaemun History and Culture Park entrance (near Gallery Moon and underground parking lot)
